Santiago Morales

Santiago Morales serves as Kiwapower director. He is also co-founder of Becquerel Capital, a boutique specializing in sustainable infrastructure structuring, incorporated in 2013. He has worked as a developer, investor and advisor in the international energy sector since 2007.

Santiago has participated in more than 2 GW of renewable energy generation projects currently in operation in Mexico. Since 2019 he has focused on launching and managing Kiwapower.

Prior to founding Becquerel, he worked at Temporis Capital, a London-based renewable energy infrastructure fund manager, and was previously a strategy and innovation consultant for some of the leading energy companies in France.

Santiago has a B.S. in Chemical Engineer graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana, where he has taught subject in sustainable energies; he holds a Master's degree in sustainable energy from Imperial College London. He is a member of the board of directors of the Mexican Solar Energy Association (Asolmex).

Keisuke Moriyama

Keisuke joined Marubeni Corporation in 2003 and has been in the power industry since then. He was involved principally in the development of power projects in the Middle East (e.g. UAE, Qatar, Oman), the disposal and management of two power projects in India, and the acquisition of a portfolio of power projects in Portugal (50/50 JV between Marubeni Corporation and Engie).

Keisuke is a commercial person with ample experience in the legal and finance sectors. He was based in the UK for 4 years and in Portugal for 2.5 years. Today, Keisuke is based in Mexico City and serves as a Kiwapower director.

Manuel Saenz

Manuel has a 12 year track record in the photovoltaic industry. He has collaborated with developers, builders and solar component manufacturing companies as engineer, installer, construction manager, project manager, technical support, and product manager. He has been responsible for executing Distributed Generation off and on-grid PV projects under customer, national and international quality standards.

Manuel holds a B.S. in Electronics Engineering from ITESM in Mexico and has a MSc in Photovoltaic Energy Generation from Technical University of Berlin.

Manuel, is the technical director in Kiwapower.

JUAN STENNER

Juan worked as a project coordinator at Area Infrastructure specialized in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors.

Previously, he worked at Finventure, a project structuring company for the oil and gas sector.

Juan holds a BS with honors in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City.

He started his studies at the University of Southern California where he was given a full scholarship for his track and field career.

Currently, he is the holder of the Mexican U-18 record and former holder of the U-20 400m hurdles record.

Today, Juan is the comercial manager at Kiwapower.

MAkoto IWASAKI

Makoto joined Marubeni Corporation in 2010 and has been in the power industry since then. He was involved principally in the development of power projects in the Australia, Europe, and America region, the disposal and refinancing of thermal projects in Australia, development of thermal / renewable projects in Europe, and the solar distributed generation business in UK where he was based for 5 years. Today, Makoto is based in Queretaro and serves as a sales representative for Japanese client of Kiwapower.

SERGIO BRISEÑO

Sergio is a Mechatronics Engineer who graduated from the Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores in the State of Mexico. Sergio started working in the photovoltaic industry since 2015, he has worked in engineering, design, construction, installation, and technical support to approximately 300 MW in solar projects for sale in the electricity market (Utility Scale) and more than 20 MW in distributed generation in Mexico and the United States, mainly in the state of California.

IKUKO MORIKAWA

Ikuko is a bachelor of political science. When she studied abroad in UNAM(Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México), her theme of thesis was Japanese companies’ renewable energy projects in Latin America. After graduating from Keio University in 2016, worked as an automotive industry journalist and a web-editor in TOYO KEIZAI INC. for 3 years. In 2020, she moved to Mexico City and started working for Japanese Services Group of Deloitte Mexico and attended Japanese companies in Mexico. From May 2022, she is a commercial analyst of Kiwapower.

JOSÉ LLAMAS

José Pablo is a Renewable Energy Engineer who graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes. He is passionate about solar and renewable energies, and has experience in the design, development, and supervision of photovoltaic systems connected to the grid: residential, commercial, and industrial. José Pablo is proud of contributing to mitigating climate change and reducing consumption of energy from polluting sources, and he enjoys learning about the new technologies that are on the market and always be at the forefront.
